We’re hoping to help foster understanding at a time when public discourse seems to have veered to the emotional extremes.
We’ve worked hard to tell the stories of people in our community from traditionally marginalized groups, and we hope everyone who reads the series takes something helpful away from it.
Let’s not stop there, though. We know there must be hundreds, if not thousands, of people in our area whose lives have been positively affected by diversity.
It could be that you met someone from a different culture, learned about their life and traditions and then shared part of yours. You could have received some help when you most needed it from an unexpected place.
We want to hear those uplifting stories. Tell us, how has diversity changed your life for the better?
