What do you remember from Johnson City's last 150 years?

Johnson City is approaching an important milestone. On Dec. 1, 2019, 150 years will have passed since the city was chartered.

The Johnson City Press will be joining in the celebration by announcing the special events the Sesquicentennial Committee is planning and highlighting the important occurrences that took place during its storied history. Look for more than a year of those special features and announcements in these pages.

We also want to help readers share their stories and memories of the city.

We’re dedicating this Question of the Week to the last 150 years.

How have you seen the city change? Share with us and our readers some stories about the important people, places and events that have made Johnson City great.

We know most of you haven’t been alive for 150 years, so if you’re holding on to some stories from parents or grandparents, we’d love for you to share those, too.
