NE Tennessee sheriff's deputy indicted with theft, conspiracy charges

SNEEDVILLE — A Hancock County Sheriff’s Office deputy was indicted Monday on charges that he stole appliances and other items from an apartment complex.

Dusty Douglas Lamb, 36, was charged with theft over $1,000, conspiracy to commit theft over $1,000 and theft under $1,000.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation reported in a news releases that 3rd District Attorney General Dan Armstrong asked the bureau in October to investigate the deputy. Agents determined that Lamb stole several appliances along with other items from the Cumberland View Apartment Complex in Sneedville.

Lamb surrendered Monday and was held in the Hancock County Jail under $15,000 bond.
