Man being chased during State Line Drive-in crash is arraigned

ELIZABETHTON — Kieth Shane McNabb was arraigned in Carter County Sessions Court on Monday.

McNabb is the man who was being pursued on U.S. Highway 19E on Thursday when a Carter County Sheriff’s Department cruiser went out of control and crashed into the State Line Drive-In.

He was arraigned on a long list of charges Monday. The charges included reckless endangerment (no weapon, no injury); two counts of evading arrest; driving on a revoked/suspended license; driving on revoked license, fifth offense; reckless driving; financial responsibility violation; misuse of registration; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Judge Keith Bowers appointed a public defender for McNabb and set his next court apparance for July 26.
