BLOUNTVILLE — A Kingsport resident has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder in the early 2017, robbery-fueled shooting of an 18-year-old.

Anthony Lee Moosman, 20, entered the plea on Tuesday morning in Sullivan County Criminal Court. A life sentence was handed down by Judge William Rodgers, with no eligibility of parole for 51 years.

Moosman was 18 at the time of the slaying, Feb. 22, 2017. When Kingsport police officers responded to gunfire at an apartment complex at 391 Lynn Drive, they found two men had been shot. Stephen Caudill, 18, was dead inside Apt. 4, while Clayton Ray, 20, was responsive on the front porch of an adjacent unit. Ray was rushed to the hospital for treatment and survived. More about Moosman’s sentence from the Kingsport Times News.
