This event will benefit the mission of the Junior League of Johnson City and fund initiatives to improve the health of women and children in the community.
The community event allows children the opportunity to learn firsthand about all types of working trucks and service vehicles by exploring them and interacting with the people who build, protect and serve the community. Vehicles will include police cars, construction trucks and paving equipment. Educational vendors and League members will also offer food trucks, games, crafts, and more. There will be a “quiet hour” from 12-1 for individuals with sound sensitivities or sensory disorders.
Tickets — $5 for all ages — are available the day of the event. To purchase ahead of time, visit http://www.juniorleagueofjc.com/fundraisers/touch-a-truck/.
All proceeds will support the Junior League’s community service, which has includes direct funding to agencies, leadership development and volunteer assistance to health initiatives.
