ELIZABETHTON — Fridays are usually great days, and when you can spend part of Friday playing golf, it’s an even better day. When your golfing contributes to one of the four most important fundraisers of the year for the Boys & Girls Club of Elizabethton, it is an even greater day.

This year, the Dino Senesi Memorial Golf Classic will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, at the Elizabethton Golf Course. Players will enjoy lunch courtesy of Chick-fil-A, beverages throughout the day, goody bags, prizes and lots more.

The tournament is named after one of the Boys & Girls Club’s most loyal supporters. Senesi is most known as the founder of Dino’s Restaurant in downtown Elizabethton, which proudly displays a historical proclimation that the first lasagna served in the area was served in the restaurant.

Senesi was well known for his love of children, and many school pictures of children from the 1960s were hung on the wall of the restaurant, where they remain to this day.

The popular chef also showed his love of children by his strong support for the club. For that reason, the tournament proudly carries his name as it raises crucial funds for the club’s afterschool program. Your participation will give club members warm and healthy meals, learning experiences, homework help and so much more during their school year.

To sign up, download the sponsor form at http://www.bgcecc.org/golfclassic and return with payment to Susan at [email protected] or by mail to 104 Hudson Dr., Elizabethton, TN 37643.
