This benefit event allows children an opportunity to learn firsthand about all types of work trucks and service vehicles by exploring them and by interacting with the people who build, protect and serve the local community.
The vehicles will include police cars, construction trucks, farm equipment and others. Vendors and Junior League members will be offering food, games, crafts and more at the event. The Food Truck Junction also will be on hand.
For individuals with sound sensitivities or sensory disorders, a “quiet hour” will be provided from 1-2 pm .
Tickets are $5 person person and available on the day of the event or in advance online at www.juniorleagueofjc.com/fundraisers/touch-a- truck.
All proceeds from this year’s Touch-A-Truck will go back into the community through the Junior League’s direct funding to service agencies, leadership development programs and volunteer assistance to community initiatives.
The Junior League of Johnson City is a non-profit organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
