Johnson City’s Tractor Supply Co. is calling on all fur-baby parents and animal-lovers alike to celebrate Out Here With Animals, a monthlong event that aims to promote healthy living and adoption for animals.

The Johnson City location partnered with the Washington County Animal Shelter by encouraging their customers to donate food items, cleaning supplies and toys to surrounding animal shelters and rescue organizations.

For one week, the store will offer a variety of sale promotions while accepting donations to support neutering and spaying to prevent unwanted breeding and promote more animal adoptions.

“It’s a week that we use to celebrate all animals,” Lee Dials, manager of the Johnson City store, said. “We want to support the wellbeing of both domestic and livestock animals. We do this by offering discounts and gathering donations this week that will be split among rescue operations and animal shelters.”

The sale will last until the end of the week, but donations and the supplies drive are encouraged throughout the entire month. On Aug. 25, Tractor Supply Co. will host a pet adoption event, and local animal organizations interested in participating are encouraged to sign up online at www.TractorSupply.com/EventPartners.

“Out Here With Animals allows the Johnson City community to come together to celebrate their pets while supporting the great work of their local animal organizations,” Mary Lawley, vice president of store administration at Tractor Supply Co., said. “Whether you have a dog, cat, horse, pig or goat, we hope families will bring their leashed, friendly pets to the store to show how special their animals are and help us find homes for the local adoptable animals that deserve a family too.”

The public and all leashed, friendly animals are welcome to drop by the Johnson City store throughout August. For expert advice on raising pets and other animals, visit www.TractorSupply.com/KnowHow and follow Tractor Supply Co. on Facebook and Instagram.
