These special contributions are part of the Spherion Community Give Back program, an annual nationwide initiative that recognizes and advances the efforts of charitable organizations who make their regions better places to live and work.
Both community partners hold special meaning for franchise owner Carol Trahan and her dedicated staffing team. The contribution to Brother’s Keeper will further the faith-based non-profit’s personal and career development training programs that help disabled adults prepare for workforce success, and ultimately become more independent and self-sufficient members of society. In particular, the Spherion donation will provide supplies for an independently-run crafts business operated by Brother’s Keeper students.
Additionally, the donation to the Pleasant Hill Pet Rescue and Senior Sanctuary will provide housing and medical care for elderly and disabled pets whom the organization rescues from shelters and poor residential conditions. As a team consisting primarily of pet owners, the Johnson City Spherion staff selected the Pet Rescue to symbolize its love of animals.
As a dedicated steward of the Johnson City community, Spherion and its team continually seek opportunities to share time and resources with their local partners. Beyond its work with Brother’s Keeper and the Pleasant Hill Pet Rescue and Senior Sanctuary, the Johnson City Spherion team provides financial and volunteer support to the local branch of the Ronald McDonald House, among other efforts.
