Although organizers urge shoppers to take precautions against novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Johnson City Farmers Market will be opening 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 2.

In a Facebook post, the farmers market said shoppers should wear face coverings and maintain social distancing guidelines. Rather than touching products, the market said customers should let vendors bag the items they select.

When paying, customers should expect to use a credit card, digital payments or exact change. Visitors should also plan on shopping alone.
