More than 50 employers, looking to fill 2,000 positions, will be on hand for the sixth annual Hiring Expo Thursday in Bristol, Tennessee.

The expo will start at 10 a.m. and last until 5 p.m. at the Bristol Motor Speedway South Building, 3005 U.S. Highway 11E. There is no cost to attend and no preregistration is required.

Employment opportunities will be available to job-seekers of all ages and nearly any level of education, skill and experience.

Employers in the manufacturing, health care, construction, education, sales, customer service, government sectors will be in attendance seeking to fill immediate job openings.

“Since we first began this project about three years ago, the employment landscape in our region has changed,” Jon Luttrell, business development specialist with the city of Bristol, Tennessee, said in a press release.

“We’ve seen a decrease in overall unemployment, but there are still enormous unmet staffing needs across nearly all of our area industries. People ask all the time, ‘Where are the jobs?’ They’re at the Hiring Expo.”
