Belk unveiled its new initiative Dec. 29 through a series of national commercials highlighting southern communities, including Johnson City.
The program began earlier this holiday season with an in-store fundraising campaign to help build a home with Habitat for Humanity and a family in Belk’s 16-state footprint. The company invited customers to donate at the register and Belk matched $1,000 for every store that reached its individual goal.
Thanks to generous customer donations, Belk will be contributing more than $615,000 to make several southern families’ dreams a reality.
