A total of 15 manufacturers, representing 3,000 employees, were honored for a combined 540 years in business.
Summers-Taylor was recognized for being operational the longest, 85 years, while Valley Equipment Company, Inc., was second with 65 years.
JRH Brewing’s John and Jill Henrietz were acknowledged for their first year in business.
The following manufacturers were also recognized for their business tenures: Nuclear Fuel Services for 60 years; Campus Chalet Embroidery for 50 years; Tri-City Plating for 50 years; AOSmith for 45 years; Volunteer Blind Industries for 30 years; Impact Plastics for 30 years; Baird Machine Company for 30 years; Ellis Computerized Machining for 30 years; Fiber Innovation Technologies for 20 years; IMC for 15 years; JD Squared for 10 years; JTEKT/Koyo Corporation for 10 years and Nakatetsu Machining Technologies for 10 years.
This was the first year manufacturers from Unicoi and Carter were included in the ceremony since the formation of the Northeast Tennessee Regional Economic Partnership.
The ceremony was held in conjunction with National Manufacturing Awareness and Appreciation Month.
