David Sloan, a 6-foot point guard, has announced he is joining the East Tennessee State basketball team after spending last season at Kansas State.

Sloan, who is from Louisville, Kentucky, was one of the top junior college players in the country while playing at John A. Logan College, the same school that produced former ETSU player Devontavius Payne and current Buc Vonnie Patterson.

During his one season at Kansas State, Sloan averaged 5.3 points and 2.5 assists per game while playing 19 minutes a game.

He made his announcement on Twitter.

Sloan will finish ETSU coach Steve Forbes’ recruiting class that also includes Jalen Johnson from Tennessee, Silas Adheke from Northern Kentucky, Ty Brewer from Southeastern Louisiana and Paul Smith from DeMatha High School.
