The East Tennessee State basketball team’s latest recruiting class has three commitments.

Forwards Paul Smith and Cam Bryant and point guard Aquan Smart have all verbally committed to play for the Bucs beginning next season.

All three are about to begin their senior years of high school.

Smith is a 6-foot-8 power forward from DeMatha Catholic in Maryland, one of the top high school programs in the country.

Bryan, from Jonesboro, Georgia, is 6-foot-7 and is currently playing wide receiver on the Dutchtown High School football team.

Smart is 6-foot-3 and is from Skokie, Illinois. Some big schools, including Virginia Tech, Iowa and Kansas State, had been somewhat interested in him.

The signing period begins Nov. 13. ETSU is expected to get at least one more commitment to join the three in the Class of 2020.

The Bucs are coming off a 24-10 season and have been picked to win the Southern Conference this year.
