The East Tennessee State basketball team is already reloading for next season.

Steve Forbes’ Bucs have received commitments from two players.

Joe Hugley, 6-foot-7 forward, is transferring in from Central Connecticut State. Hugley averaged 12.3 points per game as a red-shirt junior and will join ETSU as a graduate transfer, meaning he will be eligible to play next season. He was an 86 percent free throw shooter at Central Connecticut and is a former junior-college All-American at Baltimore City Community College.

Damari Monsanto, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Western High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, had committed earlier this month. Monsanto, who averaged 28 points and 11 rebounds per game, had reportedly narrowed his choices to ETSU and Illinois.

The Bucs have at least two spots to fill with the graduation of James Harrison and the transfer of D’Andre Bernard, who has announced he would be graduating early and looking for another school. There is on-line speculation that Kevon Tucker will be leaving the team as well.

The Bucs finished the season 24-10 after losing to Green Bay in the Collegeinsider.com Postseason Tournament.
