Flooding in the Grainger County area forced the postponement of Elizabethton’s Region 1-AA basketball game Saturday.

The Cyclones were scheduled to play host to Grainger in a quarterfinal contest at Treadway Gym. The game has been rescheduled Monday for 3:30 p.m.

Also, Johnson County’s game at Chuckey-Doak was postponed and has been moved to Monday at 7 p.m. in Afton. Unicoi County and Greeneville followed suit, and will play Monday at 7 p.m. at Greeneville.

Elizabethton’s girls will play their Region 1-AA semifinal game against Grainger as originally scheduled Monday at 6 p.m. at Happy Valley, said Lady Cyclones’ head coach Lucas Andrews.

If the boys’ team wins Monday afternoon, it will play Tuesday at 6 p.m. against the winner of the game between Chuckey-Doak and Johnson County.

In Class AAA, Tennessee High’s game at Sevier County was moved to Monday at 7 o’clock. And in Class A, Hancock County at North Greene was switched to Monday at 7.
