Sullivan Central's ladies too much for Collierville

CLEVELAND, Tenn. —Sullivan Central’s girls prevailed 50-36 over Collierville on Friday at the Holiday Inn Express Thanksgiving Tournament.

Abbey Crawford led the attack for Central with 15 points while Macy McClellan had 13.

The stingy Lady Cougar defense held Collierville to 21 percent shooting (12-56) and forced 17 turnovers.

Crawford also had 12 rebounds in the game for a double-double on the night.

Tennesse High 59, Lakeway Christian 56

ELIZABETHTON — The Lady Vikings picked up their first win of the season Friday night over Lakeway Christian at the Carter County Thanksgiving Classic being held at Happy Valley.

LynLeigh Rhodes put together a double-double with a career high 21 points and 12 rebounds. Annie Hayes connected from three-point five times to total 15 points and Riley Fritts added nine points and six assists.

The Lady Vikes will take on Cloudland on Saturday in a 4 p.m. game at HV.

Boys

West Greene 71, Cedar View Christian 62

MOSHEIM — Three Buffaloes scored in double-figures to lead West Greene over Cedar View on Friday night. Kyler Clowers had 14 points while Jacob Stimell and Allen Vaughn each had 11 in the winning effort. 

Nick Rose had 23 for Cedar View in the loss. Andrew Trent also contributed with 10 points. 

Cedar View had the lead at the end of the first quarter and was down by five at the half, but a strong 20-point third quarter sealed their fate and never recovered.

Greeneville 60, Alcoa 55

KNOXVILLE—Kaleb Crumbley poured in 15 points and handed out five assists for the Greene Devils, who slipped past Alcoa in the fourth quarter at the Farragut Thanksgiving tournament.

Jayden Manuel added 12 points and Micah Banks 11 in the victory.

The Tornadoes, who were up 48-44 in the fourth before the Devils went on a 16-4 run, received 18 points from Nate Marsh. Garrett Rodgers added 15.
