FCA games set for Friday at Emory & Henry

Bringing together many of the top seniors from its two regions, the annual Fellowship of Christian Athletes Southwest Virginia vs. Northeast Tennessee all-star basketball games will include Science Hill’s Tate Wheeler, Nyrashia Love and Aysha Redford.

Action is scheduled for Friday night at Emory & Henry College in Emory, Virginia. Tip-off time for the girls’ contest is 6 p.m., with the boys scheduled to begin at 7:45.

On the boys’ side, Wheeler will be joined by Trevor Hensley (Unicoi County), Jared Lawson (Daniel Boone), Tee Johnson (David Crockett), Hayden Cassell (Dobyns-Bennett), Bud Icenhour (Johnson County), Ethan Whitley (Sullivan East), Tyler Parker (Tennessee High), Roby Witcher (Tennessee High), Jordan Self (Sullivan Central), Jacob Deel (Volunteer) and Greg Barnett (Volunteer).

Set to coach the Northeast Tennessee boys is John Dyer of Sullivan East.

Love and Redford’s teammates are Emily Sizemore (Daniel Boone), Shyanne Tuelle (Hampton), Kassidy Nelson (Sullivan East), Brittney Brooks (Johnson County), Courtney Brooks (Johnson County), Kaitlyn Vaughn (Sullivan North), Hailie Hatcher (Tennessee High) and Makayla Richards (Tennessee High).

Tennessee High’s Thad Lambert will serve as coach.
