Bradford was chosen to the Associated Press All-American team on Tuesday as an honorable mention selection.
The senior guard was the Southern Conference’s player of the year after helping the Bucs to a 25-9 season and an appearance in the conference tournament championship game for the third year in a row.
During Bradford’s four-year career at ETSU, the Bucs won 92 games.
“We are extremely proud of Desonta and all that he's accomplished at ETSU,” ETSU coach Steve Forbes said. “This honor is a reflection of his hard work and commitment to our program. Being named honorable mention All-American puts him amongst the upper echelon of college basketball players.”
Bradford averaged 15.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game during his senior season. He was the only player to rank in the top 10 in the SoCon in scoring, rebounds, assists and steals. He is ETSU’s seventh All-American and the first since Courtney Pigram was an honorable mention selection in 2007.
Also included on the honorable mention list were Tennessee’s Grant Williams, Wofford’s Fletcher Magee and Duke’s Grayson Allen.
