ELIZABETHTON—Doing most of its damage in innings four through six, Elizabethton came from behind to upend Bristol 10-6 in Friday night’s Appalachian League confrontation at Northeast Community Credit Ballpark at Joe O’Brien Field.

The Twins (22-20) trailed 5-2 before outscoring Bristol 8-0 through their key three-inning stretch. There was some power behind the surge as Charles Mack unloaded a three-run homer run in the fifth and Seth Gray went deep with a two-run, sixth-inning shot.

Mack also doubled in a 2-for-4 performance that included three runs. He and Kidany Salva, who also batted 2 for 4, each finished with three RBIs.

Stepping in for starter Sawyer Gipson-Long with two away in the top of the fourth, Erik Cha (4-1) hurled 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for the win. Cha surrendered two hits, issued one walk and struck out four batters.

Outhitting Elizabethton 13-8, the Pirates (19-22) got a 3-for-4, 2-run showing from Matt Morrow. Contributing two hits each were Jesus Valdez (2 RBIs), Jake Snider, Samuel Inoa and Ethan Goforth.

Goforth had a solo homer while Morrow and Valdez doubled.

Elizabethton hosts Bristol again on Saturday, starting at 6:30 p.m.
