This time, the Bucs (19-5) survived after the Bulldogs (8-15) scored four runs in eighth inning to tie. The victory improved ETSU to 16-1 at home.

Nathanial Tate (2-0) got the win, throwing the final inning. Hooper Mills started for ETSU, which also got work from Zachary Kirby, Colby Stuart, Daulton Montagna and James Giambalvo.

After hitting a grand slam against Tennessee, Ethan Shelton went 3-for-6 with two RBIs. Smith had two hits and Lyle scored three runs. The Bucs will host Georgetown in a three-game weekend series starting Friday.
