Hope was 2 for 3 for Crockett. Standout pitcher Kara Weems didn’t have the best of first outings, giving up seven walks — although one was an intentional pass to Jenkins to load the bases in the eighth. Weems, however, struck out nine batters and allowed only one earned run.
