Former Science Hill pitching standout and current pitcher in the Detroit Tigers organization Daniel Norris, on the mend following surgery for a left groin strain, pitched four innings Sunday in a rehab start with Triple-A Toledo.

Norris, who started, didn’t get the win in Toledo’s 3-2 victory over the Columbus Clippers, but he did strike out four in his four innings of work.

Norris gave up three hits; one run, which was earned; and one walk.

Fellow Tigers left-hander Blaine Hardy pitched one inning in a relief stint as part of his rehab assignment for left elbow tendinitis.
