The annual Masterpiece Mingle moseys into the McKinney Center from 7 to 9 p.m. on April 17 to raise money for the town’s education and arts center.
Though it’s still nearly two months away, interested attendees might want to buy their $45 tickets now. Tickets sold out in previous years.
Tickets are limited to 125, because each ticket holder will take home one of the 125 works of art on display.
Regional artists working in watercolor, acrylic paints, ceramics, fabric, jewelry, woodwork and more donated pieces to the McKinney Center for the fundraiser.
Each guest receives a numbered program upon entering the gallery, and the number corresponds to a piece of art. Guests may take home their mystery masterpiece or swap with another guest for theirs.
The funds raised from ticket sales for the event will go to the McKinney Center and its programming, which encourages art patronage and understanding and offers classes in a variety of media to residents. Masterpiece Mingle is the signature fundraiser for the McKinney Center.
In addition to the art on display, attendees can enjoy live jazz music by a combo from the Jonesborough Rhythm Express, heavy hors d’oeuvres from Main Street Catering and drinks by Tennessee Hills Distillery.
There will also be a silent auction featuring additional works of art.
Tickets sold out well in advance of the event last year and the year before, so organizers recommend securing your spot now, if you’re interested.
