ELIZABETHTON — Downtown Elizabethton will be open late on Friday.

The Third Downtown Elizabethton Art Walk willl be taking place from 5-8 p.m., with stores and restaurants open late and plenty of art and shopping taking place in the downtown stores. There will also be four musical performers, as well as storytellers.

The night will also be a chance to win door prizes by completing passports that will be stamped at each participating downtown merchant.

All passports will be distributed at Blue River Studio, 527 E. Elk Ave. The passport will then get stamped as each passport holder visits the businesses that are open late. Inside the businesses, artists will be busy with their latest projects and will display their completed works.

While the art will provide a feast for the soul, there will also be plenty of good eats available. J’s Corner and Auntie Ruth’s donuts will be providing their treats and the Coffee Company will be open until 7 p.m., providing their own live music and local artist. The Coffee Company menu includes chicken salad croissants, Craisin walnut salad, chicken tender salad, autumn smoked turkey sandwich and bread bowl with cactus chili.

The musical performers will be Scott Wild, Jonathan Edens, Magus Vaughn and Manny & Nathalia.

The art walk is sponsored by Blue River Studio, the Elizabethton Arts and Cultural Alliance, the Coffee Company, Duck Crossing, Southern Restaurant, Sweetsie Treats, Ole City Dogs, Ritchie’s Furniture, All Star Sports and Crafts, Cottage Boutique, Book Worm Books, The Dressing Room, Elizabethton/Carter County Public Library, Shipshape Vape, Simple Blessings, Fletcher’s Homemade and Fetterolf’s.
