Tuesday Night at the Movies:  “The Public Enemy” is the featured movie at 5:30 p.m. on July 3. The event is free and popcorn and drinks will be provided. 

Teen writing group: Come share suggestions, get prompts, participate in writing games and challenges and work on your own writing projects at the library. Snacks, drinks and writing resources will be provided. â€‹Teen Writing Group is open to sixth through 12th graders. Registration is preferred, but not required. 

Tail Waggin’ Tutors: Therapy Dogs International’s “Tail Waggin’ Tutors” program encourages children to read by providing a non-judgmental listener and furry friend to read to that won’t laugh at them if they make a mistake or stumble over a word. Free 15-minute sessions are limited and registration is required. Call the library to find out available times and to register.

Bright Star Children’s theater performance: The library will host the Theatre on Thursday, July 5, in the Jones Meeting Room. At 11 a.m., the performance will be Old MacDonald’s Sing-Along Farm. At 1:30 p.m., the Bright Star Children’s Theater will present American Tales & Tunes. Folk songs and folktales from across America come to life in this music-filled adventure. For the comfort and safety of all, space is limited to 150. Doors will open 15 minutes prior to each show with first come-first served seating.
