Jeanne-Marie Laborde of Hendersonville, NC and Dr. Trenton Thomas Stevens, of Johnson City, TN, were married on June 11, 2016 at Kiawah Island, SC. The wedding party and guests assembled under oak trees with the Kiawah River as a backdrop.

Rev. Kevin M. Roberts officiated the 5:30pm exchange of vows. Reception with dinner and dancing followed at The River Course Clubhouse.

The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Robert P. Laborde, of Hendersonville, NC. She is the granddaughter of Jean H. Kirkland of Baton Rouge, LA and the late Gilbert L. Dozier; and the late Camus and Marie Laborde.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas J. Stevens of Raleigh, NC. He is the grandson of the late Alfonse and Eleanor Stevens; and the late LeRoy and Sallie Teel.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Dr. Robert Laborde, the bride wore a gown of ivory brocade and carried a bouquet of blush and white roses.

Matron of honor was older sister of the bride, Emily Laborde McGowan, of Charlotte, NC. Maid of honor was younger sister of the bride, Monique Elise Laborde, of Chapel Hill, NC. Bridesmaids were sister of the groom, Caroline LeeAnne Stevens, of Greenville, SC; Elizabeth Illig, Mary Pat Riddle, and Tyson Strandberg. Honorary bridesmaids included Katie Jordan, Anne Lassiter, Sydney Pender, and Jane Yarbrough, all UNC friends.

Flower girls were Jeanne-Vienne Dupre and Cerise Dupre.

David Cooper Stevens, brother of the groom, of Los Angeles, CA, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chase Elliott, Mike Leonczyk, Bryan Macon, Eric Morales, Patrick Shields and Ryan White; all Sigma Chi fraternity brothers of the groom from UNC.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of Hendersonville High School in Hendersonville, NC. She is a 2010 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a degree in religious studies, chemistry and a B.S. R.N. She was a member of Kappa Delta sorority. A cardiac ICU nurse, she is currently pursuing her Doctorate of Anesthesia at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, in Memphis, TN.

The groom is a 2006 graduate of Science Hill High School in Johnson City, TN. He is a 2010 graduate of the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, where he earned degrees in chemistry, business and music. He is a 2016 graduate of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center, where he earned his Doctorate of Medicine. He is currently pursuing a residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN.

Following a wedding trip to Grenada, Grenadines, the couple will reside in Memphis, TN.
