Handley - Kind

Shelby Leighanne Kind, of Johnson City, and Michael John Handley, of Nashville, were married on Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Chateau Selah in Blountville, TN. Rev. Michael Lester officiated the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Ron and Denise Kind, of Johnson City. She is the granddaughter of Earlean Kind, of Johnson City, and the late Sgt. William R. Kind II; and the late Arthur and Muriel Sirois.

The groom is the son of Chuck and Maria Handley, of Nashville, TN. He is the grandson of Charlie and Betty Handley, of Virginia; and John and Rose Capozzoli, of New Jersey.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, Ron Kind.

Jaclyn Brooks and Caroline Bauguess were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were: Maci Whitson, Elyse Dengler, and Kelly Lyons. Flower girls were: Olivia Brooks, Delaney Brooks, and Harper Bauguess.

Chris Handley served as best man. Groomsmen were: Michael Nash, Lee Creviston, Taylor Shelton, and Tyler Castro. Ushers were Michael Nash, Lee Creviston, Taylor Shelton, and Tyler Castro. Caden Handley was ring bearer.

The bride is a 2014 graduate of the University of Tennesee, where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She is employed at Spring Station Middle School.

The groom is a 2015 graduate of the University of Tennesee. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity, while attending University of Georgia. He is employed at HealthTrust of Nashville.

Following a wedding trip to Saint Lucia, the couple will reside in Franklin, TN.
