ELIZABETHTON—The Unaka Lady Rangers found the road to Murfreesboro last season and on Thursday took the first big step on the road back.
Elizabethton lost to Unicoi County in the winners’ bracket final, and trailed the Lady Blue Devils in both games in the championship round.
The David Crockett softball program did something that has not been done in at least 20 years on Wednesday as the Lady Pioneers captured the District 1-AAA softball championship with a 4-0 win in the if-necessary game over upset-minded Cherokee.
