Hampton girls sets up rematch with South Greene for Region title

Hampton and South Greene will face off for the Region 1-A girls championship after both squads won in the semifinals Friday. Hampton was a 55-43 winner over North Greene while South Greene took a 57-46 decision over Cloudland.

It's a new rivalry in the SoCon, but ETSU and Mercer brought quite a history with them when they joined the league. The two rivals, who both moved from the Atlantic Sun after last season, close the regular season today with a matinee at Hawkins Arena.
