Holly Warlick has the Lady Vols back in their customary spot in the Top 10 in the preseason. Last year they were picked 20th in the first poll — their lowest preseason ranking since they missed the first poll ever in 1976-77.

A.J. Merriweather’s college basketball debut didn’t escape notice Tuesday night. The freshman went 5 of 6 from the field, 7 of 8 from the foul line and scored 17 points, with seven rebounds and five steals in ETSU’s 118-83 exhibition win over Milligan.
