Pioneers' season kicks off at East

Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 at the Patriots' field. Also on the schedule tonight, Johnson County debuts under head coach Don Kerley with a home game against Tennessee High.

Hilltoppers will likely be without Sutton for opener

The Hilltoppers open next Friday at Elizabethton, which starts the season this Friday against Daniel Boone. The extra week apparently won't buy enough time for Science Hill linebacker-running back Trey Sutton to get back on the field.
