Andrew Morton romped to a 6-1, 6-0 quarterfinal win over Cole Crosland of White County. Later, he defeated Kato Richardson of Hendersonville 6-4, 6-2 in the semifinals to earn the championship berth.

Presnell takes over as coach of Elizabethton baseball team

Presnell, 34, was a standout athlete in football and baseball at Elizabethton, graduating in 1998. He batted .435 in his high school career, and hit 23 home runs.
