Back to School: Usual hectic day in Johnson City, but still smooth

It may have been a half day, but school was in full force in Johnson City as students and teachers got acclimated for new academic year with assemblies, class assignments and get-to-know-you sessions.

It was 1910 when Jason Snyder came into the world, the oldest of 10 children to a Valley Forge couple who would end up being honored this week as possibly the oldest surviving World War II veteran in Tennessee.
