Rails-to-Trails Task Force sets pace for new 10-mile recreational trail between Johnson City, Elizabethton

The Rails-to-Trails Task Force has taken its assignment very seriously and has been hard at work to reshape a 10-mile section of the old Tweetsie Railroad System into a biking, hiking and recreational reality.

Two Unicoi County residents were arraigned Monday in Jonesborough on an aggravated robbery charge involving a woman’s morphine prescription, but Washington County investigators are looking for two others also involved, according to court documents.
