The high-scoring ETSU women's team fell to Samford 2-1 in the SoCon semifinals at Cullowhee, North Carolina, as the Bulldogs scored in the closing minutes.

Meredith Hardy, a senior on the East Tennessee State volleyball team, was on a list of 10 players from around the country eligible for the award. It's given to a senior who excels four areas: the community, the classroom, character and competition.
