Freshman guard J.C. Hampton swished a 12-foot floater with three seconds left as Lipscomb got its first Atlantic Sun Conference victory of the season, 82-80, in yet another thriller between the teams.

ETSU plays seven of its next nine games at home, beginning Thursday against Lipscomb. The Bucs will finish the regular season with five of the last seven on the road, including the last three.

ETSU's women basketball team plays at Florida Gulf Coast Thursday. It’s been a place where A-Sun teams have basically gone to lose. The Eagles are 55-1 at home in conference games since joining the league.

A dream start was too good for the East Tennessee State basketball team to handle. The Bucs jumped out to a commanding 15-1 lead in the opening minutes, but couldn't maintain the momentum as Mercer earned a 73-63 victory Monday night at Hawkins Arena.
