Three face criminal charges in two states after Unicoi County burglary

Three Knoxville residents charged in an alleged break-in in Unicoi County over the weekend and later arrested in Yancey County, N.C., have picked up additional local charges, Unicoi County Sheriff Mike Hensley said Tuesday.

Tennessee Department of Agriculture investigators have determined there was no wrongdoing in an incident involving a dead calf discovered in a dumpster behind a Unicoi County school, according to county Director of Schools Denise Brown.
