Jonesborough man faces more charges in teen-sex case

Michael Joseph Clay, arrested this week on statutory rape charges, now faces 37 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and two counts of sexual battery.

A wanted Johnson City man was arrested Wednesday night after Johnson City police responded to a home where he was reportedly cooking methamphetamine while he, two females and a 5-year-old child were inside.

Johnson City police stopped Jeffrey Dalton, 49, 313 Hamilton St., around 10:30 p.m. Monday and noticed him try to hide a glass pipe by throwing it on the floorboard, according to police.
