Patricia Bell Davis, age 67, of Johnson City, passed away Friday, August 22, 2014, at the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness.
A native of Lynchburg, VA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Cabell and Annie Laurie Thompson Bell. Prior to moving to Johnson City, Mrs. Davis and her husband lived in Casper, Wyoming. She retired from the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.
Mrs. Davis was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church, Johnson City, and was a previous member of First United Methodist Church of Casper, Wyoming. Mrs. Davis was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by two brothers, H.C. Bell Jr., Ronnie Wayne Bell; a sister, Evelyn Kaye Vance.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Davis Jr., of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherie Davis Rowe and husband, James, Elizabethton, Tracy Davis Stoyer and husband, Justin, Chattanooga, TN, and Susan Lori Davis, Gray, TN; two grandsons, Lt. Daniel Lee Denton and wife, Lt. Katarina Denton, both of the U.S. Navy, Everett, WA, Nicholas Tulley Payne, Elizabethton; one granddaughter, Rebekah Faith Rowe, Elizabethton; one great grandson, Dayton Tulley Payne, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
The memorial service for Mrs. Davis will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 26, 2014, in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home with Rev. Gerald Casson officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the East Parlor of the funeral home.
Final disposition will be held at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
