Thomas Dee Chess, JOHNSON CITY

Thomas Dee Chess, 33, of Johnson City, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014, at his home in Johnson City.
He was a native of Washington County and the son of Thomas L. Chess and the late Norma Sue Fagan Chess.
Thomas was of Baptist faith.
He loved his fiancée, Barb, his children and his special pot belly pig, “Hissy.”
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Survivors include: father, Thomas L. Chess, of Johnson City, TN; beloved fiancée of nine years, Barbara Morrell, of Johnson City, TN; sister, Brandy Chess, of Johnson City, TN; three children, Skyler Chess, of Mt. City, TN, Tatum Chess, of Johnson City, TN, and Dakota Chess, of Johnson City, TN; two step-children, Sabrina Widener, of Elizabethton, TN, and Larry Widener, of Elizabethton, TN; step-grandchild, Troy Morton, of Elizabethton, TN; and niece, Bryonna Chess, of Johnson City, TN.
The family of Thomas Dee Chess will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home Monday, August 25, 2014.
We will be leaving the funeral home in procession at 2:00 PM Monday, August 25, 2014, for a 2:30 PM graveside committal service at the Washington County Memory Gardens. Pastor Chuck Babb is officiating. Pallbearers will be: Adam Coffman, Matthew Bennett, Ray Letterman, Dillon Jones, Michael Campbell, and Roger Fagan. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Matthew Gobble and Larry Cox.
A memorial gathering will be held immediately after the committal service at two separate locations: the home of Deborah Doebler, 1451 Southside Road, Elizabethton, TN 37643 and the home of Nancy Letterman, 216 Lisa Lane, Piney Flats, TN 37686.
