Pauline Wright Gilliam, 91, Johnson City, passed away, Sunday, August 3, 2014 at her residence.
She was a native of Kingsport, and the daughter of the late Samuel Isaac and Rilda Forbes Wright.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar “Buzz” Gilliam, daughter, Nancy Rupert, brothers, Robert and James Wright, son-in-law, Tom Osborne.
Pauline loved to read her Bible and read a good western, and watch the weather channel.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter: Sue Osborne; very special son-in-law, who is always there for the entire family: Rusty Rupert; grandchildren: Scott King and wife Simmali, Lorrie Bowers and husband Bob, and Sunny Pope; great-grandchildren: Robert Bowers, II and wife Frances, Cassie Snodgrass and husband Shawn, Daniel King and wife Ashley, Josh King, Angel King, Taylor Pope, and Keira Pope; great-great-grandchildren: Sara and Connor Snodgrass, and Trey Bowers; several nieces and nephews, special brother and sister-in-law: Mack Gilliam and Shirley Waycaster.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of Caris hospice for their loving care, especially Stacey, and Uzoma.
The family requests the honor of your presence to Celebrate the Life of Pauline Gilliam at 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 6, 2014 in the Sunrise chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services Johnson City with Pastor Everette Lett and Pastor Tim Lovell officiating. The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM until the service time at the funeral home.
A Graveside and Committal service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM in Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be chosen from family and friends. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 AM
