Helen Ray, ERWIN

Helen Ray, age 90, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014, at her daughters residence.
Helen is a native of Dungannon Virginia and a daughter of the late Homer and Ollie Dooley Trivette. She was a homemaker and a member of Chestoa Baptist Church since 1979.
In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Ray in 1995, daughter: Barbara Sue Beam, of Asheville, Brothers: Ray Trivette and Darris Trivette, Michigan, sisters: Estelle Nickles, Indianapolis, IN, Beatrice Donaldson, Dungannon, VA, and Pauline Ray, Portage, MI.
Helen leaves behind to cherish her memories: Daughter: Freda Nelson, of Erwin; Grandchildren: Sharon Mashburn, her husband Bruce of Morristown, TN, Jennifer Franklin, her husband Terry of Erwin, Lewis Beam and his wife Dianna of Fairview, NC, Lynn Stroupe of Weaverville, NC, Chris Beam and wife Louann of Fairview, NC; 14 Great Grandchildren; 7 Great-Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews; Special Niece: Carol Cowden and her husband Danny of Kingsport.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of Amedysis Hospice of Elizabethton for all their loving care.
The family requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Helen Ray in a graveside committal service to be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Roselawn Memorial Park. Those who will attend the committal service will meet at Valley Funeral Home by 12:30 PM on Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Beam, Corey Beam, Phillip Franklin, Jeff Rice, Lewis Beam and Hunter Beam.
