Debbie Blackwell, JOHNSON CITY

Debbie Bowman Blackwell (Shiny Eyes), 46, Johnson City, Passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City. A native of Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Margaret Wishon Bowman. In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by sisters, Patsy Gortney, Charlotte Sue Davis and Kathy Joan Bowman and brothers, Jackie Bowman and Billy Joe Bowman.
Those left to cherish her memory include a son, Kenny Harless and wife Tiffany; grandchild, Aiden Carpenter; sisters, Judy Bowman, Linda Bowman and husband Larry “Capp” Estep; brothers, Hoover “Chubby” Bowman and wife Ginger, Larry “Baldy” Bowman and wife Lisa, and Jerry “Speedy” Bowman and wife Joy; brother and sister in-laws, Raymond Gortney, Carolyn Bowman and Toshie Bowman; a special friends, Mike Grindstaff; special niece Tracy Arrowood; and several other nieces and nephews, special grand-dog: SGT Stocky of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The family requests the honor of your presence for a Celebration of Life Service for Debbie at 1:00PM on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Tetrick Funeral & Cremation Services, Johnson City with Pastor Carl Bowman officiating. The family will greet friends to share memories from 11:00AM until the service hour. A Graveside Service will follow at Scalf Cemetery, Watauga. Pallbearers will be Willie Bowman, Mike Grandstaff, Steve Graham, Jeremiah Rogers, and Mike Brummett.
