Virginia Lee Reasor, JOHNSON CITY

Virginia Lee Reasor , 94, Johnson City, TN, formerly of Big Stone Gap, VA, went to her heavenly home on Friday (June 27, 2014) at Johnson City Medical Center.
She was born in the Deep Springs Community of Lee County, VA, lived in Big Stone Gap for 35 years, and lived in Johnson City since 1987 at Appalachian Christian Village.
She was a retired school teacher of the Wise County School System, having taught at both Big Stone Gap Elementary School and Powell Valley Primary School. She was a member of the Big Stone Gap O.E.S. #157 and the D.A.R. Ms. Reasor was a member of Central Baptist Church in Johnson City, TN.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Logan Reasor and Lillie Agnes (Smyth) Reasor; six sisters and six brothers; and nieces and nephews.
Surviving are nieces, nephews and a host of friends; and a special friend, Marilyn Thompson, of Johnson City, TN.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. on Monday at Holding Funeral Home (17 E. 3rd St. N.) in Big Stone Gap, VA.
The funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. on Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Gene Elliot and Pastor Tim Tapp officiating.
Interment will follow at Powell Valley Cemetery in Dryden, VA. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
