She was a devoted mother, daughter, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Jasperse cultivated beautiful flowers, quilted and needle worked, and was fond of bird watching.
She was a member of Fort Robinson Baptist Church in Kingsport, where her husband, Don, was a deacon for many, many years.
Mrs. Jasperse was preceded in death three months by her husband, Don, of 58 years; by her parents, Mack and Nellie Woodby, Johnson City; and by brothers, Jack and Bill Woodby, also of Johnson City.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Georgia State Representative Rick and Marcia Jasperse, Jasper, GA; and daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Keith Shell, of Surgoinsville, TN. Woodby and wife, Joyce, and sister, Joan Woodby Tolley and husband, Charlie, all of Johnson City, TN; Sister-in-law, Janet Jasperse, of North Cape May, NJ; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Grandchildren are Elizabeth Jasperse Wright and husband, Justin, of Centerville, GA, Mary Alice Jasperse, student in Atlanta, GA, and Bob Jasperse, student in Athens, GA. Louise’s loving dachshund, Molley, age 12, grieves as well.
The family would like to say a special thanks to two special ladies, Stella and Kathy. Their care and thoughtfulness enabled Louise to enjoy life at home. Thank you to all the staff of Amedysis Hospice for their compassionate care.
The family will receive friends Sunday, June 29, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the East Lawn Funeral Home Chapel, with the funeral service immediately following at 8:00 p.m. with Dr. Randy Pressnell officiating.
