Laura A. Williams, KINGSPORT

Laura Alona Williams, age 83, of Kingsport, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in Holston Valley Medical Center.
Mrs. Williams was born in Hampton, Tennessee, to the late Taylor and Viola Harmon Montgomery. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Berry; three sisters; and six brothers.
Mrs. Williams had served as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Civil Service. She was a member of West Colonial Hills Baptist Church and loved to crochet, quilt, cook and gardening.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, William T. Williams, of the home; a daughter, Terri Williams-Garber and husband, Chuck, Kingsport; two sons, E. Ray Berry and wife, Carol, and Gary H. Berry and wife, Terry, all of Kingsport; ten grandchildren, Laura A. Williams-Skeen, William Logan Garber, Sean Garber, Bryan Garber, Adam Berry, Amanda Mendoza, Colista Wooten, Rebecca Whiteaker, James Berry and Stephanie Berry; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, Margie Ashley and Vera Lowe; and one brother, Raymond Montgomery.
A service to celebrate the life of Laura Williams will be conducted at 4:00 PM on Saturday, May 24, 2014, in the Chapel of Peace at Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Dr. Gary Montgomery, officiating.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM-4:00 PM in the funeral home chapel, prior to the service on Saturday.
