Katherine Hensley, TRAVELERS REST, S.C.

Katherine Ann Hensley, age 67, of Travelers Rest, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 24, 2014.
Born on August 20, 1946, in Washington County, TN, she was a daughter of the late Ed and Violet Laws Lane. Mrs. Hensley was very active in her church, Forestville Baptist Church in Traveler’s Rest, SC.
She loved her family and her many friends in her church. Katherine loved Tennessee football.
In addition to her parents, Katherine is preceded in death by her Father-in-law and Mother-in-law, Stanley and Virgie Freeman; Nephew, Josh Cooper; Sister, Carolyn Richardson; Brother, David Lane; and Brother-in-law, David Chatman. .
Katherine Ann Hensley has left behind to cherish her memories: Husband: Paul Hensley; Sister: Janie Cooper, of Jonesborough; Brothers: Herman and Tina Lane, of Erwin, Howard and Mary Nell Lane, of Erwin, Johnny and Teresa Lane, of Johnson City, Larry Lane, of Erwin; Nieces and Nephews: Stephanie Lane, Daphne Ledford, Marty Richardson, Nathan Lane, Wendy Lane Ryans, Landon Lane, Brandon Lane, Robbie Adams, Bo Adams, Brian Freeman, David Chatman II and David Chatman III; Special Friends: Danny “Red” and Jenny Martin; In-Laws: Bill and Beverley Freeman and Betty Chatman; Loving pets: Winston and Daisey.
The family requests the honor of your presence as we honor and remember the life of Katherine Ann Hensley in a funeral service to be held at 8:00 P.M. Sunday, April 27, 2014, in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Mathis officiating. Vocal Selections will be provided by Dennis Laws.
A visitation period to share memories and offer support to the family will begin at 6:00 P.M. and continue until service time on Sunday at Valley Funeral Home.
A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, April 28, 2014, at Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery at 9:00 A.M. with Rev. Richard Tittle officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Those attending the graveside service will meet at the cemetery by 8:50 A.M. on Monday.
